Dan Pyle received his first guitars at the age of 16 from his mom, after she heard the lyrics to Metallica's "Fade to Black" for the first time. She made Dan promise to perform it at her eventual funeral, and passed away only a few short years later. "Mom played piano for over 55 years, so I incorporate a lot of piano into my music as an ongoing tribute. I can always feel her with me when I'm composing a new piano piece." Self-described as Alternative Rock, trying to find a similar artist can be a challenge, as Grooves to Chaos provides an interesting clash of brands, from RATM to Mazzy Star, Metallica to Pink Floyd, EDM to Twiddle - there's a taste of many genres to enjoy.
