What remains of "Imagine" - John Lennon ? ----- It still happens to me at the end of the evening. After the noise, the rhythm, the lack of meaning. When everyone is tired, and the party is over. then I play the song, put the volume lower Everyone's gone, Left this utopia, John. "Imagine" was just a sweet dream Of it barely remains a gleam Is anyone home ? To change everything now Can we still, with a simple song, Dream the same and tell right from wrong Maybe there's no heaven but now i know the hell We sell guns to a child, we say it's us or them We fight for religion when it should bring us peace We forgot the world, cowered in our countries Everyone's gone, Left this utopia, John. "Imagine" was just a sweet dream Of it barely remains a gleam Is anyone home ? To change everything now Can we still, with a simple song, Dream the same and tell right from wrong When most dreamers have gone, john How do we do to raise hope again ? Everyone's gone They left this utopia, John. "Imagine" was just a sweet dream Of it barely remains a gleam Is anyone home To change everything now Can we still, with a simple song, Dream the same and tell right from wrong Is anyone home ? Is anyone home ? Is anyone home ? Is there anyone home ? more
