Girard Street Garvey was born and raised in Uptown Washington DC on the brutal corridors of NorthWest. Through his tough journey of trying to survive the inner city madness he discovered his love for music which was highly influenced by go-go bands such as Backyard Band, Northwest Youngings just to name a few. Through out the years he has dropped a flurry of music independently including 2 albums Hard Hat Area and Money Train which was distributed through DTLR all which was under his old moniker Garvey The Chosen One, he dropped his latest project in 2020 “Chozo” which is available on iTunes and now he is set to release his highly critically acclaimed joint project “The James Brothers” with BDR summer of 2022 With Garvey canny ability to bring you closer to the hood with street tales he also finds a way to cater to people from all walks of life and at the same time remain relevant through the constant change of hip hop music without compromising his integrity as a artist.
