Born in Lagos, Nigeria, He moved to Benin City, Edo State Nigeria while he was still a baby. This is where he found his musical voice singing for different gospel groups, bands, and choirs. Goldmarkist developed a distinctive voice influenced by the sounds of gospel, jazz, soul and R'n'B. While growing up in a musically inclined environment, Goldmarkist self-tutored himself on how to play the drums, sing and write music. Moses Seriki a.k.a Goldmarkist is a born-again Christian, creative music writer, he sings his own songs and believes that godly music is a primary tool that can inspire both change and merry in this world.
