From a city where the music market never worked in his favor and is still just as difficult as it was when he started in 2011. Boston MA. J Lyrix started writing in middle school at the age of 12 and was first known by the name, J Killa. Free-styling is and always has been something he enjoyed doing. People always loved his music for his raw voice, lyrical content and catchy choruses. In 2012, J Lyrix and a couple of members in his circle decided to make a music group by the name of Team High Campaign (THC). Several people known throughout the music world started seeing and following. One of them ended up being a major artist by the name of Jaheim, an R&B singer. Jaheim then offered him a contract to his independent label known as Julies Dream Music Group in 2014 in which J Lyrix signed not too long after it was offered. After 5 years of touring, recording and performing with Jaheim for most of the country, he decided to part ways with the label and take a different route.
