Justin Rogers is a Colorado based Composer, Saxophonist, and Pianist. Justin is a graduate of the University of Denver, where he completed a Master of Music in Jazz Composition in Fall of 2021 while studying with Dave Hanson and Lynn Baker. He also completed his Bachelor of Music Degrees in Music Composition, Saxophone Performance, and a minor in Criminal Justice/Criminology at the Metropolitan State University of Denver in Spring of 2019 where he studied with Dr. Fred Hess, Mark Harris, Dr. David Farrell, Cherise Leiter, and RJ Miller. He Currently attends the University of Denver where he pursues a Master degree in Jazz Composition with Dave Hanson. Justin has also received several awards for his musical accolades including the Ron Cope Scholarship, the President’s Academic Achievement Award (MSU Denver), the Max DiJulio Prize for Composition, the 3’71” Composition Prize, the MSU Denver Faculty Composition Prize, and the MSU Denver Music Department Talent Scholarship.
