Jeff Yates is a country singer, songwriter from Mt. Vernon, Texas. He began taking voice and guitar lessons at age thirteen. He later moved to the Houston, Texas area and attended and graduated from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He went on to have a career in law enforcement and began playing music again after retiring. In 2023, he signed a Producer agreement with Dean Miller Entertainment in Nashville, Tennessee and recorded his first single "Country Girls Like That" at OmniSound Studios, also located in Nashville.
