“Not How It Appears” is a mid‑tempo alternative pop song built around a tight 85 BPM groove and a haunting, emotional vocal. The track lives in an E‑centered, minor/modal space, giving it that bittersweet, late‑night feel while still feeling modern and rhythmic. Percussive “slap” transients and detailed production keep the energy pulsing underneath the melancholy, making it a strong fit between softer acoustic tracks and heavier alt‑rock on a playlist. It’s ideal for listeners who love cinematic, introspective lyrics over atmospheric but punchy production. - Mastered by mixea.commore
