Alabama born and raised, Jonathan Pierce grew up a fan of grunge music (Nirvana, Bush, Soundgarden, NIN) in a small town with one red light. His mom and dad liked classic rock (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Eagles) but he also was influenced by his mom's love for great music like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Van Halen, and Phil Collins.
He eventually started an Americana band with his cousin, (Blue Jays Band) and put out an album and opened for Sister Hazel. But in 2014, when his mother passed, he moved back to Alabama and turned to country music. "To me country music comes from the heart and rock comes from the ego and I feel like my heart wants to speak."
In 2016, Jonathan moved to Nashville and released a country rock song called Get Dirty In My Jeep on the day that he opened for Willie Nelson and Allison Krause at Ascend Amphitheater. "Many people don't know I wrote that song about Taylor Swift lol. That girl needs to get outdoors and go muddin." Now he's releasing music in 20
