Chicago, IL, USA

Born & raised in Chicago, Illinois, LWeezy was originally a basketball player, but after getting into a altercation with his basketball coach it lead him to getting kicked off the team. Lamont (Lweezy) started rapping as a teenager using GarageBand to record his songs from his phone. Growing up was a challenge for LWeezy, living in a single parent household made him become a man at a very young age. Every song that’s dropped on the behalf of “LWeezy” is mixed and produced be himself in his home recording studio. The soulful, melodic, sometimes aggressive rapper has his own sound to Chicago Hip-Hop, has a drive to be one of the greatest, and he’s improving every step of the way. “LWeezy” describes how he pushes everyone around him to try to be more successful than him—“Always be able to provide for yourself, handouts aren’t giving”.
