Hey everyone, I'm happy to announce "Fallen Star." While still in well in the bounds of metal, this project is intended to be reminiscent of the slick sweetness of modern day pop music but with much darker somber overtones just under the surface. While still very approachable and far from avant-garde, this project still contains many experimental technical producing firsts for me such as double-octave down-pitched layering, a new invented "spoken" filter, occasional glitched stuttering, a vocalist singing in his blended range and a focus on guitar riffs and complexity over solely cinematic orchestral power.
It is a social commentary that follows a canonical story about an idealistic young man traveling to southern California who is very harshly sobered and humbled by the uniquely exploitative culture there, but gains wisdom and resilience from the experience.
"Blame it on Me," marks the moment our central character decides to leave his hometown. It will be difficult to leave his loved ones but he feels his life has stagnated and only wants to move on and keep going forward for better or for worse, as he'll soon find out.more
