Mattergy is a progressive metal/modern rock band based in Riga, Latvia that fully embodies the concept of "endless interaction between matter and energy within a musical transformation." This motto reflects the band's open attitude and ability to experiment with their sound.
Since forming in 2016, Mattergy has been relentlessly working to build a strong following. The band's sound is highly diverse, reflecting the kaleidoscopic backgrounds of the musicians involved. Mattergy underwent a few lineup changes before settling into its current incarnation, which was an opportunity for the band to refine the sound even further due to the many influences contributing to the fabric of their music.
Fans of Dream Theater, Periphery, Karnivool, Tesseract, Haken, Leprous, and other bands in the progressive metal scene will appreciate Mattergy's big, heavy riffs with modern prog-metal influences and beyond.
