MindTides

Oslo

Mind Tides is an Oslo-based trio crafting a neo-psychedelic blend of indie and surf-rock, with touches of funk and blues. The result is a warm and wavy soundscape with a distinct vintage feel, carried by introspective lyrics that drift between the dark and the light, melancholy and joy - creating ripples in the tides of the mind. Drawing inspiration from Pink Floyd, The Doors, Santana and Tame Impala, Mind Tides create modern, sun-drenched psychedelic songs wrapped in a retro aesthetic - equally suited for moving your feet, riding a board or staring existentially through a bus window. The band consists of vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Ali Jakupovic, Spellemann Award-winning producer and multi-instrumentalist Mathias Risdal and drummer/percussionist Rashad Safin. With backgrounds from Bosnia, Norway, and Morocco, and diverse musical roots, they merge their influences into a distinct sonic identity.
