Njogu

Nairobi, Kenya

Njogu (formerly known as Young Smart) is a Kenyan Afrofusion artist crafting modern, danceable sounds rooted in African rhythm, memory, and identity. His music blends Afrobeats, Afropop, and soulful African influences to tell stories that travel across borders while remaining deeply grounded in home. His latest release, “Queen Africa,” is a powerful Mama Africa anthem celebrating resilience, womanhood, and the unbreakable spirit of the continent. More than a song, *Queen Africa* is a declaration — honoring every mother, every woman, and every land that has been bruised but never broken. Through layered Swahili, Kikuyu, and emotive melodies, Njogu delivers a message that defines his artistry: Africa must remember — its strength, its beauty, and its power to rise again. He represents a new generation of East beauty, and its power to rise again. He represents a new generation of East African artists pushing culture forward while honoring where it comes from.
