Hell to Heaven
Epic tale of love-borne thirst in this stirring song about a struggle for redemption. Powerful, contrasting shades of rock, Tender, caressing acoustic, with ambient, silky vocals - expressions of a romantic, honest heart, contend with violent cravings - blistering guitars and savage drums (Mark Schulman of Cher, Pink). A world ravished, torn between love and hate, the battlefield rages in apocalyptic proportions. As the soundscape unfolds its dark, haunting melodies, a hero ever-closer to oblivion fights, death or glory. A psychological drama plays out behind our protective walls. We may wrestle with our shame, hide our true feelings, push away the ones who get too close. We lie to ourselves. We dare not lose control. But someone comes along and unravels our elaborate maze. The resistance crumbles and from the shadows we come alive, our ‘tame' world aflame with the forces of destiny, desire, love and attraction too strong, too sweet, too real to resist. What do we do, when our hearts begin to melt? Is it so wrong? Maybe its the better part of us crying to get out. The sacred veil has been removed…. Distress
Lovekilss is a genre-bending project that blends grunge, shoegaze, post hardcore, and Midwest emo into a captivating sonic experience. Inspired by influential bands such as Deftones, Nirvana, My Bloody Valentine, Title Fight, Citizen and more. I have crafted a distinctive sound that combines the raw intensity of grunge, the ethereal textures of shoegaze, the emotive power of post hardcore, and the introspective lyricism of Midwest emo. The result is a fresh and dynamic fusion that demands attention and resonates deeply with listeners. What sets Lovekilss apart is not only the genre-spanning approach, but also the sheer breadth of my involvement in the creative process. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, I am not only a solo artist but also the owner of a recording studio. This studio, equipped to handle recording, production, mixing, mastering, and even music videos, allows me to bring my artistic vision to life with unparalleled control and artistic integrity. Moreover, Lovekilss draws profound inspiration from my personal battles with addiction, which heavily influence both my lyrics and sound. As a person in recovery with over a year sober, I channel the raw emotions, struggles, and triumphs of that journey into every aspect of my music. The vulnerability and authenticity woven throughout my lyrics create a deep connection with listeners who have faced similar challenges. The sonic landscape of Lovekilss reflects the turbulence and catharsis experienced during those dark times, resulting in a truly immersive and emotionally charged musical experience. By embracing my past struggles, Lovekilss embodies resilience, hope, and the transformative power of music.more

Way Back Home
A collaboration with the very talented Paul Sultana (https://slaps.com/paulsultana) in the gentle style of early 1970's John Denver Americana country-folk. It's all about getting back to the more meaningful, simpler things in life. We both hope you enjoy it. Lyrics: Will I ever get back to where I’m from Can we find our way back to where we belong To rolling hills and starry nights so bright Across a gentle stream and up to such great heights The misty mountain morning breeze The dew drops resting on the leaves There’ll never be a home like this one There’s plenty here for everyone Mothers, fathers, daughters, sons Are here to welcome you back home Are here to welcome you home Home where my roots are planted deep Where my mind is clear and heart is free Surrounded by the ones I love Each day’s a gift sent from above We’ve traded fields and trees for city lights The never-stopping, endless train of cheap delights The farms and fields are calling us back home We don’t need concrete on these dusty country roads The misty mountain morning breeze The dew drops resting on the leaves There’ll never be a home like this one There’s something here for everyone Ma’s, Pa’s and all their little ones Are here to welcome you back home Are here to welcome you back home They’re here to welcome you home Home where my roots are planted deep Where my mind is clear and heart is free Surrounded by the ones I love Each day’s a gift sent from above Home where my roots are planted deep Where my mind is clear and heart is free Surrounded by the ones I love Each day’s a gift sent from above Each day’s a gift sent from above Each day’s a gift sent from above Paul Sultana & Carlos Fandango 2023©more
