• He was first introduced to Hip Hop through the music of the artist defining the West Coast movement in the late 80’s and early 90’s. As a genre, rap was discouraged in his household, but this only made the lyrics and lifestyle more appealing. • He began writing rhymes for school projects and wrote his first rap at the age of 9, the lyrics and tone of the short rap reflected the attitudes of his West Coast influences. The first Rap album he purchased was The Chronic, by Dr. Dre in 1992. o “The controversy surrounding gangsta rap and the West Coast movement made me realize the power of words. My dad would destroy my music but that would only make me want it more.
