This track was written about a rainy year at Arctangent festival. On the second day it rained from 10am till 11pm. Thirteen hours of rain which is where I took my band name. This song is written about that specific experience. I began by writing the bass riff and then built the rest of the song around that. To me the distorted bass recalls heavier bands from the djent scene and while it may not seem obvious Converge were a heavy influence on this trackmore

I conceived and created this song during lockdown in the UK. During that period I was spending a lot of time inside alone, I tried to write what I know and this was the result. This is the first of a four track EP where I started each track from a different compositional starting point. With this track I wrote the drums first and then added the subsequent instrumentation on top.more
