Edgar David Nazario, a.k.a. Poé, as his music, is a true mix of his background and life experiences. The American singer/songwriter, based in Baltimore, MD, was born in Charleston, NC, but raised in Puerto Rico. His music is therefore a fresh mix of influences, from the tropical music of his upbringing, to rock. He’s not a simple man, as he himself can tell you, and his lyrics are a reflection of that complexity. After 15 years of creating and releasing music with hard rock outfits Dossis and The Purge Effect, for his solo effort, he shifted towards a bluesier, lighter approach. His music is both accessible and daring, and the poignant lyrics -that are usually very personal, overflowing with emotion. His first releases are, not surprisingly, dual language. The Drifter and La Suma de los Daños were released late 2019, and his upcoming EP “Dysphoria” is set to release by the end of 2020.
