My name is Japhet Mwape Mayunga. I was born in 1984 in the city of Chingola in Coppebelt Province, and I am the third born in a family of seven men and four ladies. I did my primary education in Kalulushi at Mitobo Primary School and my secondary education in Luanshya at Nkulumashiba Secondary School in Copperbelt Province. I come from a Christian home; my father was a pastor, and he really helped us to be strong Christians and stand firm in the Lord God Almighty, and here I am... I got born again when I was very young. My father led me to Christ, and since then I have always stood in faith, whether things were good or bad. I started singing when I was 11 years old. When I grew up, I joined a praise team at my former church. After I completed school, I went to Lusaka in 2007, where I met Pastor Susan, who later helped me release an album titled Umutima Wandi in 2008. In 2020, I married my beautiful wife, and we have three children: 2 girls and one boy.
