Hey fellow Artists,
I wrote this song, for my husband, and our first date in Charleston, South Carolina. From the ancient branches of the “Angel Oak” to the Charleston coast at night, it tells the story of that feeling when a simple day becomes the beginning of forever.
I believe I would categorize it as a country-folk love song about roots, tides, and knowing you’ve found something worth holding onto.❤️

[Verse 1]
Down in Charleston where the old stories stay
Spanish moss dancing in the breeze that day
Under Angel Oak, roots spreading wide
You laughed and said, “Girl, this feels like a sign”
[Pre-Chorus]
They say angels linger where the branches bend
I swear I saw one when you took my hand
History whispered through those ancient trees
And the magic wrapped around you and me
[Chorus]
Under the Angel Oak, where the shadows sway
We found forever on a Carolina day
Love like the tide, rolling wild and free
Carried us down to the edge of the sea
Where the lighthouse glowed and the stars burned bright
We kissed in the sand on a Carolina night
[Verse 2]
Sweet tea smiles and carriage rides
Your boots kicked dust by the old street signs
Every laugh came easy and slow
Every look said what we already know
[Chorus]
Under the Angel Oak, where the shadows sway
We found forever on a Carolina day
Love like the tide, rolling wild and free
Carried us down to the edge of the sea
Where the lighthouse glowed and the stars burned bright
We kissed in the sand on a Carolina night
[bridge]
From roots to waves, from dusk to dawn
This love will stand when the years roll on
Strong as the oak, wild as the tide
With angels watching
Under the Angel Oak, where the shadows sway
We found forever on a Carolina day
Love like the tide, rolling wild and free
Carried us down to the edge of the sea
Where the lighthouse glowed and the stars burned bright
We kissed in the sand, in sand on a Carolina night more
