Rey Sauvignon—also known simply as Rey—is a Dominican-born artist redefining the sound of modern Latin Trap and Hip Hop. Born in the Dominican Republic but raised away from it, Rey carries the essence of the island in his voice, even as his perspective stretches far beyond borders. From a young age, Rey was driven by art in all its forms—drawing, DJing, performing—until music became the heartbeat that tied it all together. His songs capture the duality of his world: street energy with emotion, ambition with reflection, rhythm with soul. Influenced by legends like Arcángel, De La Ghetto, Max B, Drake, Juice WRLD, and Fabolous, Rey blends melodic storytelling with a trap edge, creating music that’s raw, visual, and deeply human. Every verse is a step in his journey—from the boy who never lived in his birthplace to the man who’s making sure the world feels it anyway.
