I’m an old man who has had a pretty rough life, I’ve been writing songs getting others to sing them for years. If I sing in the shower the water quits running lol. Every song I write either is an emotional (good or bad) reflection of something I have endured, or something of a person close to me endured. Those are a little harder to write;I have to know everything they felt, then take some time putting myself in their position. I always hated all the way my life went, the wrongs I felt from others. The hard times that made me want to end it. Ect. I started first writing poems a singer friend who played clubs, saw some of my poems and we turned a couple of them into songs. So I went back and converted most of them into songs. Over the years I will just be going through my day and something happens , that reminds me of a situation I was in and the lyrics start running through my head, I start writing them down and write what is in my mind. Then rewrite it until it fits the situation
