I produced a tune a couple years ago entitled "Note To Self" for my good friend JSTMKY, who wrote & recorded a solid banger with myself & a wonderful female vocalist. I have included the link to the album, released today. Last week, when I began to plan a Spotify release, I decided to Second Class it up a bit. Alas, what I ended up with was Not at all what I expected. - I dropped the tempo 3 bpm but refrained from warping any of the original vocal recordings (except for when the pitch changes). - I layered a previous recording of Mike's voice, adlibs & played with some M/S processing - which I've never dabbled with. - & last but not least: managed to make two entirely different tone beats with a bunch of the same samples. -.- This record I have uploaded has been entirely mixed, mastered, recorded & sampled by myself alone, so any feedback would be greatly appreciated, as I am a 100% self-taught producer.
