So this is the song that got me going. I was working a normal 8 to 5 with a 45 hour commute to and fro, and I hated my life. Every lunch I always went to the hiking in the nearby hills of Calabasas, bringing my guitar and starting to post videos. Then Kobe's copter went down. 3 days later I was finally able to go out in the woods, and I remember it was a very foggy kind of day, I was by the creek, and I could feel a peace come over me. I thought about Kobe and how hard he worked to become what he was, and I'm standing here on my lunch break. I decided then I wanted to start recording and sharing my music. This song I don't ever play live, but I love it because it's the first one I committed to learning how to mix master and record all the parts. At the time, I had no one else, but Kobe's passing taught me that hard work and focus can bring your dreams to light. RIP Kobe Bryant, I wasn't much of a basketball fan, but I am a fan of anyone who works their ass off, and there was no doubt that you made it to the Hall because of exactly that. Here's to Just Living, and chasing your dreams. The cover is me in those very woods.more
