Sillaba was born from the collaboration of three artists, Federica Ottombrino voice and electric guitar, Ludovica Muratgia electronic pads and Carla Boccadifuoco keyboards and choirs.
The choice of name is inspired by the importance attached to interdependence: the syllable cannot exist if even one of the letters is missing.
What binds their new songs, in Italian and Neapolitan, is the fusion of electronic sounds with a songwriting matrix.
The soul of the project is research: of sound and words. The choice of words, for their meaning and beauty, aims to reach the listener directly, to create images that touch deeply, to open a chink, to instil doubt.
The stories sung are part of a highly experimental musical dimension for the band, which, on the one hand, maintains solid roots linked to the song form, in which the melody emerges, while on the other hand allowing itself to be inspired by electronic production.
