The song was inspired by a narcissist girl I met at a birthday party of a close friend. The girl always wanted to be at the center of attention and didn't care if people liked or hated her - as long as she caused enough drama to get people to notice her. Seeing her being ignored by everyone at the party, made me feel sad for her and inspired me to write the song from her perspective, taking her vulnerability into account. I understood that behind what seemed like a narcissist is a human with core needs: the need to be loved, accepted and liked by others. The song takes the listener on a journey to look underneath the surface of someone that is loud and craves attention only to understand that the same feelings lie in ourselves.
