When I first discovered dating apps, I probably had a fairly naive view of relationships. I thought that more connections would naturally lead to more genuine encounters. Instead, I found something strange. We've never had more ways to communicate, yet I've never seen so many people afraid to become attached.
Over time, I started feeling like relationships were becoming less about two human beings meeting and more about navigating a system. A place where validation is currency, where image is protected, where nobody wants to appear too interested, too vulnerable, or too sincere.
What struck me the most is that none of this was really new. Movies like "Hitch", "Equilibrium", "Elysium", "The Prestige", "Million Dollar Baby", "Fight Club", and even "Back To The Future" had already been talking about authenticity, emotions, competition, choice, and humanity. It was almost as if the answers had always been right in front of us.
That's why I wrote "Broken Movie".
Because sometimes it feels like we're living inside a film whose script broke somewhere along the way. The characters are still here. The emotions are still here. But something between the two got lost.
This song explores that modern paradox: being surrounded by thousands of connections while feeling profoundly disconnected. It talks about the faces that keep following us from one platform to another, the endless advice filling our feeds, and that strange feeling that love sometimes resembles a contract signed with a pen between our teeth more than a spontaneous human connection.
And ultimately, it asks a very simple question.
What if what we're missing isn't another theory, but simply the courage to be human again?

#VERSE
I signed up curious, didn't know the rules
Just faces in a carousel, pretending not to choose
A match on Monday evening
A ghost by Friday night
Nobody called it loneliness
They called it keeping options right
#VERSE
I learned the art of waiting
Three dots that never came
Conversations full of sparks
That vanished just the same
Afraid to care too quickly
Afraid to look too weak
We started measuring silence
Before we learned to speak
#PRE-CHORUS
More attention every day
Less connection every night
Everybody wants the feeling
Nobody wants the fight
#CHORUS
We've never been so connected
Yet never felt so alone
Millions of conversations
Still scrolling through our phones
We turned people into options
Turned hearts into a marketplace
Now everybody's running
But nobody wins the race
#VERSE
So I deleted every profile
Or at least that's what I thought
Then those same familiar faces
Followed every app I brought
TikTok became a dating room
Instagram became desire
Old matches feeding algorithms
Throwing gasoline on fire
#VERSE
Now every wound has a podcast
Every doubt has its guide
Every feeling has a coach
Explaining what lives inside
We're drowning under answers
While asking something small
How did being authentic
Become the hardest thing of all
#PRE-CHORUS
"Hitch" told us to be honest
"Equilibrium" said feelings have their place
"Elysium" dreamed there was room for everyone
"The Prestige" warned us what happens when life becomes a race
#CHORUS
We've never been so connected
Yet never felt so alone
Millions of conversations
Still scrolling through our phones
We turned people into options
Turned hearts into a marketplace
Now everybody's running
But nobody wins the race
#BRIDGE
Now everybody's "Million Dollar Baby"
Fighting not to lose their place
Showing only perfect angles
Hiding every crack they face
And sometimes modern love feels less like love
Than terms and conditions we sign
Giving away pieces of ourselves
With a pen held between our teeth and a smile
#OUTRO
I miss when people were people
Before every heart became a case
Before every feeling needed labels
Before every bond became a race
Sometimes I wish I could go back
Not to relive who I used to be
Just to sit beside "Back To The Future"
And remember a little peace in me
Because somewhere along the journey
Between the swipes and endless advice
We accidentally built a "Fight Club"
Inside our private lives
Maybe we're not missing knowledge
Maybe we're not missing a plan
Maybe we're just missing permission
To simply be human againmore
