Soft light falls where shadows stay The night hums low, the world drifts gray I breathe in silence, slow and thin And let the quiet pull me in And once again I'm all alone To feel more pain I have not known And wonder why It has to be That though I try I cannot see The answers blur, the edges bend I search for truth that never ends I’m standing still while time moves on A fragile heart, a fading song I reach for peace, but lose my way Still hoping I’ll be okay An end to all The things gone bad That still befall And make me sad.
