In 2018, YPM Turk started out as "Deuce" and began releasing music along with other members of the YK1K music group. In 2020, Turk began to formulate his own style and release solo music as "Lil Turk". Born TayJon Martin in 1999 and originally lived in New Orleans, Louisiana. After hurricane Katrina, YPM Turk was forced to relocate and in 2007, eventually settled in Houston, Texas. Throughout his life he always loved music and it had an influence on him whether it was in the car or in his headphones before a game and allowed him take his mind off of anything he was going through. It's always been close to him because his brothers and his cousins also make music. Lil Wayne, Schoolboy Q, and Dom Kennedy were big inspirations for Turk so he began putting out songs because he felt like he had something to say. Through his real life experiences, he puts together catchy hooks and has bars for days.
