AJ Pedata may have been born in and spent a majority of his life in Florida, but that doesn’t mean he always stayed in the same place. Pedata moved around a lot when he was growing up and never really felt like he had a home as they moved 8 times from when he was born to the time he was 14. His family didn't have a lot of money and often his father would DJ to make ends meet. At a very young age, Pedata used to help his father out and learned about music. He grew up listening to every genre imaginable and always had a passion for music. He never played any instruments but music was always the one thing that he could take solace in no matter what was going on in his world. When his father passed away on New Years Day in 2016, he began to explore his musical abilities and started creating songs. The inspiration started in his high school Chinese class where one of his friends suggested that a group of them should start a rap group. ‘The Grove Boyz’ would never come into fruition, however
