'PANIC SHOPPING' was inspired by all the grocery and toilet paper craze that happened during 2020. The attitudes of the masses when they went out to empty shelves of stores, selfishly leaving other people without basic articles or even access to food is the main topic of inspiration behind this piece. Starting as a calm day at a shopping center, things quickly take a turn as the atmosphere changes to a heavy music backdrop serves a support to the lyrics that expose discomfort toward the situation. At the end the story, we return to the apparent calmness but you can feel an uneasy sensation as you know what just happened. Exposing truths of panicked herd behaviors, comes this first Aparatejo's release. more

The sixth track off of Mark and I's new album (available on all streaming platforms NOW). This song is probably the most "fusion" of the songs on the record. It's got a funky 5/4 feel, and it's full of great solos, including one of my favorite recorded piano solos EVER. Also focus on Mark's monster guitar solo!
