Irish Multi-Instrumentalist and Song-Writer Ferg explores the pensive and sentimental through introspective lyrics and emotive melodies. Inspired from influences such as Chet Baker, Mansur Brown and Thom Yorke – Ferg moulds together delicate vocals, warm guitar tones, and an ever-present ambience within the heart of his music.
In 2015 Fergus moved to Cork City where he studied Music and English Literature in University College Cork, honing his craft through the composition poetry and original music. Throughout his time in Cork Fergus engaged himself with an array of genres becoming well versed in the Irish Tradition and Folk music whilst also exploring the world of Jazz.
After a year long hiatus from music and writing, an inspiration aroused itself and brought with it the composition, recording and production of new music from his home under the Artist name of Ferg. The result being a new sound encapsulating an Alternative essence drawing from Indie, Folk and Jazz.
