When asked what message he hopes to convey with his music, Ferlo Narco replies saying he wants his listeners to feel free to be themselves with no fear of judgement; “to live life on their own terms and follow what is close to their hearts” Ofentse Lerato Mabokela, ‘Ferlo Narco’ is a multi-instrumentalist, rapper, poet, songwriter. His roots in music can be traced back to his days as a church drummer. His sound is influenced by a variety of genres: Neo-soul, Hip-Hop, and Gospel, and he refuses to be pigeonholed into one genre. Ferlo Narco does not shy away from any subject; delving deep into the pockets of his consciousness to transmit a nuanced, lyrical delivery of his inner reflections. He possesses a degree in Pharmacy from the University of Witwatersrand. His experiences during these years as a student are a significant source of his musical content. '5 Years; An Epistolary Memoir' is his first full length solo project, released August 2021
