A young rap artist from the tri-state area of Philadelphia, New Jersey, and New York. Who is bringing a new wave of sounds, varying from classic tones and instruments of soulful R&B, to upbeat, but sometimes darker tones of Hip Hop. To then a very acoustic, very-guitar driven sound of melodic harmonies , drawing from sounds you’d be likely to hear from a more Alternative or even Pop sound. Zay describes his music, as just him. And in the way it brings him peace, almost therapeutic in a sense. As Zay tends to target rather well more personal topics, that can relate to listeners. I want to talk about real things people go through, whether it be my story, or someone’s story. I’m a person who often, puts myself in other shoes. I think with my music, it’s everywhere.
