I worked in higher education for 42 years, 30 as Dean of Students at the University of Central Arkansas, where I retired in 2017. I have a Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral Degree, the last from Indiana University in Bloomington. I'm married with two children and three grandchildren. I enjoy sports - especially St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Kansas City Chiefs; and a wide variety of music - blues, rock, country, folk, Americana, Irish, singer/songwriter, etc. While working, I managed a coffeehouse series for 14 years at our church, Advent Lutheran Church in Conway, AR. It was called Advent Arts & Acoustics Cafe. We recorded each performance. Since retirement, I have downloaded these recordings onto SoundCloud where you can go to listen to live acoustic performances. It is listed under my full name. I also occasionally write songs and have them recorded by my son, Bryce Roberts, who is a Recording Engineer in Nashville, TN.

It's Okay To Be Woke
This is a folk protest song where woke means to wake up to injustice, oppression, and discrimination. The song covers different periods in American history where we "woke up to injustice!"more
