Year's Start
YEAR'S START: HAPPY NEW YEAR! Let's kick-start 2021 with some overwhelmingly positive happy hardcore music! -- 🏙 -- Year's Start is the prequel to Year's End, and it's my first release in 2021. It was made to capture the exciting and hopeful atmosphere that January comes with - right after the clock strikes midnight, a new year begins, and that tends to be a very celebratory moment (especially after the wild year that was 2020). Year's Start was made to capture that special moment and the hope for a better year! -- OTHER FUN FACTS: 1. Starting with this track, there will be a hidden quokka hiding in my cover arts! Can you find the quokka in this one? 2. The city pictured here is Perth, Western Australia. 3. It went through several name changes - it started off as "Happiness Revolution" and then "January", since this track started production on a January, and January tends to be a very positive month for me. 4. I considered this my "happiest track" until I created Ecstatica in 2019. 5. It was once 11 minutes long, but I'm starting to make smaller tracks and shortening the ones I've completed. Like Year's End, Year's Start was very repetitive and unnecessarily long, so I've cut out the repeating parts. 6. Started on January 22, 2018, it's my 41st release and 43rd track. -- 🏙 -- You can hear this on other platforms of your choosing, like Bandcamp, YouTube, and Spotify, at https://linktr.ee/MOULE! -- Follow me on https://twitter.com/MOULEofficial for the latest MOULE updates!more

We're the Same Species
WE'RE THE SAME SPECIES - An uplifting "protest" track released to denounce bigotry and unite people with this simple truth. -- ✌🏿✌🏾✌🏽✌🏼✌🏻 -- Created on October 10, 2019, this track was created in a dash of inspiration with new sounds, like Department of Transformation was. It was released on June 2, 2020, a week after George Floyd was murdered in the USA, when the topic of systematic racism entered the public discussion once again. -- The aim was to release something happy-sounding to reduce the tensions and musically support those in need. It's my first protest track, released during the George Floyd / Black Lives Matter protests of 2020. I did not feel ready to release this, but I felt it was the right time to release this, in my hope that it will support anyone who has been traumatised. This track was made as a denouncement to all the -isms and -phobias with a simple truth: WE'RE THE SAME SPECIES! -- We need to put down our labels, and recognise this binding commonality we all have, and continue to reject divide and conquer tactics like racism. -- ✌🏻✌🏼✌🏽✌🏾✌🏿 -- I hope you enjoy it. Ecstatica
ECSTATICA: The happiest track I've ever made! Released today, I hope it makes you all happier, and brings back the holiday cheer stolen during these troubling times. -- 🦌 -- Ecstatica is the type of music I've ALWAYS wanted to make, ever since I discovered happy hardcore / nightcore / gabber / rave music, but I didn't know how to pull it off. Then finally, in one sitting during one sleepless night, I finally managed to create Ecstatica, my first happy hardcore track! It's my 38th release, and 105th track. -- Right after finishing an earlier track called "Citadel", I typed Ecstatica's melody in Citadel's project file, then brought it into it's own file and expanded on it. The melody was originally written in C Major and the tempo was 144 BPM, but I decided to speed it up to 168 BPM and change the key to E Major to make something a lot more happier-sounding. I ended up finishing the entire track in just two hours and then crashed back to sleep. I guess 3:00 AM really is the most creative hour. -- I recorded my iPad's screen while designing this cover art using the app "Assembly". Because some people are curious as to how I make my cover arts, I uploaded a time-lapse of this cover art's creation to my YouTube channel here: youtu.be/tWaUugJz1lg -- 🦌 -- I still can't believe I made something this good, but I did!
