Jake Ridge is an ambient post-rock artist creating immersive instrumental music built from slow-burning guitars, cinematic textures, and spacious, meditative atmospheres. Blending ambient, post-rock, and desert-influenced sound design, his work unfolds gradually like shifting landscapes rather than traditional songs. His upcoming album Tone Poems presents nine instrumental pieces inspired by literary forms—sonnet, villanelle, nocturne, and epilogue—reimagined as sonic structures. Each track develops through repetition and subtle harmonic motion, emphasizing mood, space, and emotional continuity. Influenced by artists such as Hammock, Explosions in the Sky, and Brian Eno, Jake Ridge sits between ambient minimalism and cinematic post-rock. Tone Poems is designed for late-night listening, reflection, and immersive background listening environments.
