Joy de Bruyn is a singer/songwriter who relies on her own extensive experiences and intuition to guide her work. From her Canadian roots in Nova Scotia, to the Western Prairies (where the likes of Joni Mitchel and Roberta Flack graced her turntable), she has lived and travelled extensively in Canada and throughout the world. Whether performing in Windsor, Ontario (fondly known as South Detroit), or working out tunes and lyrics in Turkey or Morocco, her musical style is eclectically influenced by all of her journeys. It is as layered as the many cultures she has experienced and as smooth as Mediterranean turquoise.
