J. Theiss is a rapper/singer/songwriter from Kansas City, MO. He has been writing music since he was 9 years old; his musical influences range from Hip-Hop and R&B, to Pop, Classical Piano, and Rock. Picked on and bullied as a kid, he found writing music as a way to channel his frustration with the world, and also to gain notoriety from the same people who used to make fun of him. 19 years later, and J. Theiss has performed across the country, as well as a multitude of shows in his hometown; he has opened up for Afroman, Rittz (previously of Strange Music), Jaren Benton, and Phora. He has released two independent projects, and collaborated with some of the best artists in Kansas City. His main goal is to make a genuine difference in the lives of those who his music reaches; he's touched on topics such as mental health, alcohol and drug addiction, bullying, & and balancing fatherhood and a music career. He's set to release his 3rd and latest project "Late Bloomer" in the summer of 2020
