Lazy Martini is Spen Gill and Adam ‘Shet Dogs' Stephens. Formed in 2019, Gill and Stephens used the lockdown isolation as a core creative period to fuel their collaborative relationship. The result, in early 2021, was duo’s inaugural EP 'Dirty Tricks'. Recorded at Gill’s Code 9 studio, located on Sydney’s northern beaches, the two shared production duties and collaborated on lyrics, structure and vocals. Matt Everitt was called on to lend his percussion skills to three of the tracks, joined later by Mick O'Shea for the band’s first release 'Who stole the sun?', an intoxicating ode to nostalgic orange sunsets featuring synths drenched in Motown soul and sun-drunk bass lines courtesy of session player Kayci Dorsett. 'Who stole the sun?' is released on Bandcamp and other premium streaming sites on Friday 23 September 2022.
