"Edwin’s Requiem (River House)" is a 5-minute 'static-free' tribute to the father of FM, Major Edwin Howard Armstrong. Written by a licensed radio amateur, the track uses AI Neural Synthesis to transform the tragic 1945 FM frequency shift into a modern acoustic experience. It is a high-fidelity narrative following the man who gave us the superheterodyne and the original clear signal. While Major Armstrong’s technical legacy is well-documented, 'Edwin’s Requiem (River House)’ is the first known historical folk ballad to immortalize his tragic end and the 1945 frequency shift, bridging the gap between 20th-century radio pioneers and 21st-century neural synthesis. This work is an independent tribute intended to support the historical mission of the Armstrong Memorial Research Foundation (AMRF) at Columbia University.
