Please Please Please
Lost Weekend puts unique rock spin on Sabrina Carpenter's "Please Please Please" Linktree: https://linktr.ee/lostweekendsthlm Lost Weekend, the Stockholm-based rock project with musician and songwriter Michael Berman, releases an unexpected cover of Sabrina Carpenter's "Please Please Please" on July 2nd on all major streaming platforms. This marks a departure for Lost Weekend, which typically focuses on original material. "I usually don't make cover songs as Lost Weekend, but this song spoke to me in a special way. The songwriting by Carpenter, Antonoff and Allen is remarkable, and I felt like I could translate that feeling into my own interpretation," explains Michael Berman. The track transforms Carpenter's pop sensibility into Lost Weekend's signature rock sound. Recording sessions took place over several days at Omnivox studios in Borlänge for multiple tracks, with additional work completed in the Lost Weekend home studio in Stockholm, Sweden. Diego Saint-Mard handled the mixing duties, with Ola Höglund serving as recording engineer for drums and some of the guitar parts. The cover maintains Lost Weekend's one-man band approach while exploring new sonic territory, marking another step in the project's evolution while staying true to the personal approach that has defined recent releases. "Please Please Please" is available on all major streaming platforms.more

Shadow
The song came together this summer inspired by a Nine Inch Nails track. It is a very personal song that has a different and darker vibe to it. Luke Puglisi tracked the drums at Euphoria Studios in NYC, and the rest was recorded in the Lost Weekend home studio in Stockholm, Sweden. Fredrik Andersson, acclaimed Mixing Engineer, worked on the mix. Influences for the track are also Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, John Norum and Eric Steckel.
