The opening track to my debut EP "BLANKSPACE ." - OUT NOW! TRACK 01: “TIME TUNNEL” represents the anxiety one feels when attempting to view their experience as linear, seeing what lies ahead in the future purely based on past experiences whilst being lost in one’s own tunnel vision. I designed the main sounds of the piece from an old track of mine titled Time, and explored the recycling of a piece from my musical past to convey the idea that the past, present and future are all tied together in harmonious ways. To further play into the idea of time as a construct, I re-synthesized the main chorus of the piece to create the intro and build sections, building the whole piece on a conventionally non-linear timeline. In creating this piece in that way, I explored within myself the idea that we continuously create each point of past and future from pieces of each other in the present moment, contributing to, and leading from each other as well.
