Marina is a music composer, producer, singer, pianist, and songwriter. She studied formal music composition in Helsinki and Barcelona, where got involved in music research about artificial intelligence. Her final thesis consisted of the creation and analysis of a genetic algorithm for harmonic and melodic development, which lead her to receive the Fulbright Award, considered one of the world's most prestigious scholarships.
With a lyrical singing background, Marina adapts the former vocal techniques with the new performance aesthetic. Her voice has been described as "clear with a velvety quality, but with a surprising ability to change her color at will". Having a severe hyperacusis syndrome that affects her hearing, her music thrives from a very personal sampling and sound design style.
