“One Red Light” is a really personal song for me because it is about growing up in a small town where there was basically one red light and somehow everybody knew everybody. It is about that kind of hometown where you could not go anywhere without running into someone you knew. Everybody knew your family, your business, where you were going, and probably what you did last weekend before you even got home. 😂 It could feel annoying sometimes, but looking back, there was something really special about it. The song is about those simple small town days, cruising around, seeing familiar faces, knowing the same streets like the back of your hand, and having a community where everyone was connected. It is nostalgic for the kind of childhood and hometown memories that you do not fully appreciate until you grow up and realize how different the world can be. “One Red Light” is my little tribute to where I came from and the kind of small town that may have only had one red light, but somehow had a million memories.more
