We had done some outstanding business for a client with all deliverables on time, to spec and were talking with the CFO (on the phone) who wanted to renegotiate the deal. Not sure if that has happened to you, but it's rare. We politely declined such talk and showed up at the establishment for our scheduled payoff. We walked in to get paid and we did. We later dropped that client. They came back for more, after they tested the market without us. Stand up straight when you walk in the door.
