Lyrics I'm a thousand miles from the neon light Where the sand turns cold in the dead of night You're the shimmer on the road the ghost in the heat A jagged rhythm with a steady beat I've been chasing shadows through the sage and stone But I'm tired of drifting through the great unknown Oh my desert flower blooming in the gritty You're the spark in the engine the fire you lit My desert flower reaching for the sky In a world gone dusty in a world gone dry yeah you're The only thing that's real The only thing I feel Leather on the seat and the windows down Waking up the ghosts of a hollow town You got a mind like a razor and a heart like a drum Counting down the miles till the morning comes It's a long haul fever it's a high speed haze But I'd follow you through the end of days Oh my desert flower blooming in the gritty You're the spark in the engine the fire you lit My desert flower reaching for the sky In a world gone dusty in a world gone dry yeah you're The only thing that's real The only thing I feel I'm approaching the edge of the canyon floor Wondering why I didn't find this before The clock keeps ticking but the time stands still Like a heavy climb to the top of the hill I was twenty-eight yesterday forty today But you're the only one who makes the grey Fade away No more chasing no more flight Just the velvet black of a desert night Stomp the floorboard feel the shake Whatever it is it's ours to take Oh my desert flower blooming in the gritty You're the spark in the engine the fire you lit My desert flower reaching for the sky In a world gone dusty in a world gone dry yeah you're The only thing that's real The only thing I feel #AaronSteele #DesertFlower #AlternativeMetal #PostGrunge #HeavyRock #NewMusic2026 #IndependentArtist #CanadianRock #GuitarRiffs #AlternativeRock #PreSaveNow #RockMusic #NewSingle #GrungeVibes #DeepInTheWest more
