Exploring the tension between personal identity and external expectations, the song rejects conformity, manufactured personas, and the pressure to change for success. At its heart is a simple conviction: I'd rather fail as myself than succeed as someone else. I've decided to incorporate rap over this instrumental because for some reason the flow of the riff just felt so natural for it rather than direct screaming. This track is very experimental and I've played a lot with it. more
