Melissa's Theme
“Melissa’s Theme” was originally composed as a love theme (for the ghost of a vengeful dead girl – figure that out), for a short film I scored in 2009. It became the theme for the second movement of my 3rd jazz concerto, “Regeneration 2020,” which appeared on my first album, “What Was Can Still Be” (July 2022). However, I always thought the melody was just a nice tune to improvise on, so decided it belonged on this new jazz septet album. Music composed & arranged by Tony SingingEagle.
