ROGUE NETWORK - "RED LIGHT ON" From the album "4625.0 kHz" Dedicated first single release of ROGUE NETWORK The lights are on. The frequencies are open. The Network has begun transmitting. LYRICS: - When every station signs off And the valley loses light There's a room above the ridgeline Where the dials burn all night A voice slips through the carrier No caller and no name We catch it in the headphones And mark the time it came One pulse on the meter Two tones underneath We don't know who's calling But we know when they speak Red light on, hold that line When the world goes quiet, we own the night No call sign, no reply But the signal's breaking through tonight Red light on, let it roll There's a thousand things the world will never know No face, no name, no sign above the door Red light on, we're listening for more Red light on Red light on Another file without a source Another date that doesn't fit The tape was found in pieces But the voice survived on it Someone called it interference Someone filed it away Now we're running through the recording And there's something else beneath One pulse on the meter Two tones underneath We don't know who's calling But we know when they speak Red light on, hold that line When the world goes quiet, we own the night No call sign, no reply But the signal's breaking through tonight Red light on, let it roll There's a thousand things the world will never know No face, no name, no sign above the door Red light on, we're listening for more No address No explanation No one asking for permission One more voice One more night One more reason to leave on the light Keep the channel open Keep the tape running Watch the meter climb Red light on Red light on, hold that line When the world goes quiet, we own the night No call sign, no reply But the signal's breaking through tonight Red light on, let it roll There's a thousand things the world will never know No face, no name, no sign above the door Red light on, we're listening for more Red light on -more
